The NETZ-Werk Neukirchen/Erzgebirge is located in Neukirchen. An event kitchen has been under construction here since 2018 on the site of the industrial wasteland of a former car dealership, and will be completed as a maker hub in time for the start of the Chemnitz 2025 Capital of Culture. The NETZ-Werk Neukirchen/Erzgebirge project is a long-term project and will organize various events in the coming period. With the start in February 2025, the NETZ-Werk will be transformed into a winter village. After that, companies and private individuals will be able to rent the premises and the event kitchens for events. This is made possible, among other things, by the new "Netzwerk-Helden" association, which supports the municipality, plans projects and meetings, and promotes togetherness in the community.
