Lehngericht Augustusburg

The Lehngericht, located directly on the market square in Augustusburg, has been the cultural center of the town since 1375 and was revived as a venue in 2019 by the auf weiter flur e. V. association. Exciting cultural and social formats take place in the large ballroom, which offers space for up to 199 people and enough space for a variety of events such as concerts, film evenings, readings, private parties and much more. Next door, in the large communal kitchen of the "Neue Wirtschaft" association, projects such as the Garden and Foodlab, where experiments are carried out with plants and food, take place. The market hall also provides exchange and networking on site, where regional producers and local customers are brought together and new and innovative approaches ensure revitalization and interaction. The Lehngericht Augustusburg would not be a maker hub if young and old makers could not also tinker here. With the combination of traditional craft techniques and pioneering technologies, interested parties can live out their passion in the textile, wood and digital workshops and realize their heart's projects.
