What's it about?
development of flexible furnishings
Life is moving into the outdoor area! Starting from the Stadtwerkstatt participation and event space, the appropriation of the outdoor areas is starting. As a basis for formats and courtyard use, flexible furniture is to be created that can be used both in the room itself and in the courtyard areas.
Task: movable and flexible equipment for various uses (workshops, theater, relaxation) for 50 people. We will transfer the results into practice through construction workshops.

Workshop Part 2
Results and Next Steps
In the second part of the "Flexi-Furniture" workshop series, we devoted ourselves to the further procedure with a focus on the implementation and development of the furniture.
Possible implementation partners included the Fablab, external service providers or an open call for creatives from design and crafts. Ultimately, we decided to work with Schneeberg University of Applied Sciences.
The hope is that, guided by a professorship, sustainable and innovative ideas from young designers/artists from the region will be implemented together. The collaboration was planned for the summer semester of 2024.
